Mother

Oil on canvas, 16 in x 24 in. Worked on both my parents' portraits at the same time.

Father

Oil on canvas, 16 in x 24 in. I like doing portraits on the side when working on a larger piece. It keeps my hands busy, while my mind is fixated  on the large painting.

Mesas

I wanted to choose a subject that had a long lineage in the history of painting, attempting to see it in a new light. And I saw landscapes in pig's feet.

4ft x 5 1/2 ft, oil and acrylic on canvas. The gray area is actually slightly silver.Another painting with meat as the subject.

A Giant Has Fallen

Only honest and truthful works will stand the tides of time. A manner of romanticism or clever mind-games is never enough.

Always be honestly sarcastic, honestly critical, honestly humorous, and honestly romantic.

At least that's what I try to tell myself to do.
